"Brainy" Visit!

A wonderful opportunity for collaboration and exchange is organized by Prof. Alfred Scholl Franco during Dr. Ashvin Radiya’s visit to Rio de Janeiro. The program will take place at the Carlos Chagas Filho Institute of Biophysics, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). The activities will be hosted by the Scientific Dissemination and Neuroscience Education Center (NuDCEN).

Schedule of Activities – December 16, 2024

9:00 – 10:00: “Presentation of the MaiND Program and meeting with faculty and students to discuss the program” [https://neurosmartlife.org/maind/]

10:00 – 10:30: “Meet to explore potential collaborations” (Multi-institutional session with professors, researchers, and the general public interested in potential collaborations with Prof. Dr. Ashvin Raiyd).

10:30 – 10:45: Coffee break

10:45 – 12:00: Demo Lecture on “Outsmarting Illusions of Mind and AI” (https://neurosmartlife.org/demo-lecture

Afternoon – Room G0-046 and G0-15, CCS, Fundão Campus, UFRJ

12:00 – 13:30: Lunch

13:30 – 14:45: Meeting with representatives of the local and national committees of the Neuroscience Olympiads. (Presentation of the students involved in the event and the physical headquarters of the National Coordination of the Neuroscience Olympiad.)

14:45 – 15:00: Coffee break

15:00 – 16:00: Meeting with the organizers of the Brain Awareness Week in Rio de Janeiro. (Presentation of the XVI Brain Awareness Week 2025 theme and demonstration of practical activities.)

16:00 – 17:00: Recording session with the NeuroDelas Podcas

19:00: Dinner with a faculty family.

Although a formal program is planned, both the presentations and meetings will have an informal and convivial tone. This reflects the collaborative spirit of the MaiND Program, Brain Bee and Brain Awareness Week. Additionally, high school and undergraduate students associated with the Scientific Dissemination Center will be present, contributing to the friendly and engaging atmosphere.

To streamline the program, presentations and meetings with professors and researchers are scheduled in the morning, leaving the afternoon for activities focused on the Brain Bee and Brain Awareness Week.
